Workspaces and team
How a workspace keeps a brand's accounts and posts together, how to invite a team member, and how to give a client their own connect link.
What a workspace is
#A workspace holds one set of connected accounts, videos, drafts, schedules and history: a brand, a channel, or a client you run separately from the rest. Everything you do in Deploy happens inside the active workspace, and its name shows at the top of the app.
To switch, open your profile menu at the top right and pick a workspace under Active workspace, or select Switch on its card in Account, then Workspaces.
Create, switch and archive a workspace
#From Account, open the Workspaces tab, type a name under Workspace name and select Create workspace. You switch into the new workspace right away; nothing from your current one is copied into it.
Select the pencil beside a workspace's name to rename it. To put one aside, select Remove workspace on its card, then Archive workspace: its content is kept, and Restore in the Archived list brings it back when your plan has room for it. An empty workspace is deleted instead. You can't remove the workspace you're in, so switch to another one first.
See Plans and limits for how many workspaces your plan includes. On our Studio plan you can add more from Account, then Billing, under Extra workspaces.
Invite a team member
#Team members come with our Studio plan; on Free and Standard, the team is just you. See Plans and limits for how many people each plan includes.
Open Account, then the Team tab. Under Invite someone, enter their email address and choose a role. A Member reaches only the workspaces you tick for them, and you can give them more after they join. An Admin reaches every workspace and can manage the team; only the owner can invite one.
Select Send invitation. They get an email with a link that works only for that address. Once they join, they show up in your team list, where you can change their role, change their workspaces or remove them. Until then, the invitation waits under Invited, with Send again and Withdraw. If the email hasn't shown up, give it a couple of minutes before you send it again.
Give a client their own connect link
#Client links are part of our Studio plan. A client link lets a client connect their own accounts to one of your workspaces, so you never need their passwords. Switch to the workspace the accounts should land in, then open Account, then the Destinations tab and find Client links.
Enter their address under Client email and select Send link. The client gets an email, opens the link and connects each account themselves. They see that workspace's name and the platforms to connect, and nothing else inside Deploy.
Each link has a card showing when it expires and how many accounts came through it. Resend sends a fresh link and the old one stops working. Revoke stops the link straight away; any accounts the client already connected stay in the workspace.
