Platform settings

What you can set for each platform in Deploy: YouTube visibility, TikTok privacy and disclosures, and Instagram's feed and Reels options.

Settings are per account

#

The Settings step opens on Release, where you choose when the post goes out. Below it, every destination in the post has its own entry, even two accounts on the same platform. Select one to see its options.

Anything a destination still needs from you is marked Needs your attention, and Continue waits until it's chosen. Going out as, on the Release page, sums up every destination at a glance.

YouTube

#

Visibility is Private, Unlisted or Public. A channel's first post starts at Private, where only you can see it and YouTube turns comments off. After that, each post on the channel starts with the visibility you picked last time, marked Last used.

Made for kids is required by YouTube and stays off unless you turn it on. A made-for-kids video loses comments, personalized ads and some other features. Notify subscribers only applies once the video is Public, and Deploy remembers it for the channel too.

TikTok

#

At the top, Deploy shows the TikTok account you're posting as, with its name and profile picture, so you always know where the video is going.

Who can view this post has no default, so you choose it every time before you can continue. The choices come from TikTok for that account, from Anyone on TikTok down to Private.

Comments, Duet and Stitch are all off until you turn them on. If one is turned off in the account's own TikTok settings, it's grayed out here.

Turn on Commercial content if the video promotes a brand or product, then choose Your brand, Branded content or both. TikTok labels the post Promotional content or Paid partnership, and branded content can't be set to Private. AI-generated content labels a video made or edited with AI.

The Deploy step shows these choices again before you post. Once it's sent, TikTok can take a few minutes to show the video on your profile.

Instagram

#

Share to feed is on by default, so the Reel can show in the account's main feed as well as its Reels tab. Turn it off to keep it to the Reels tab.

More Instagram options holds the extras, all off until you use them. A trial reel is shown to non-followers first; you choose whether to share it with your followers yourself in Instagram, or let Instagram do it if it performs well. Instagram only offers trial reels to accounts above a follower minimum it doesn't publish, so a smaller account may see the post refused until Trial reel is turned off.

Add up to three collaborators by username. Each one gets an invite to accept in Instagram, and has to be a public account. Tag people works the same way, for public accounts. Audio name renames the Reel's original audio, which Instagram only lets you do once, and Label as made with AI adds Instagram's AI info label.

Facebook, Threads, X and Bluesky

#

There's nothing to set for these. Each one posts your caption with the account's usual visibility.

When it goes out

#

Release is shared by every destination in the post. Now sends it the moment you press Deploy, and Schedule lets you pick a time. Turn on Email me when it finishes for one summary, with links to the live posts, once every destination has answered.
