Client approval

Turn on client approval for a workspace, add your client by email, and see on your calendar which posts they've OK'd.

What it does

#

Client approval is part of our Studio plan. It lets your client look over the posts you've scheduled and say yes, or ask for a change, before anything goes out.

You turn it on for one workspace and add the people who should review. Each one gets a private link. They open it, no account and no password, and see the posts you've scheduled: videos, photos and text. They approve a post, approve everything at once, or ask for changes and leave a note. You see the answer on your calendar.

Turn it on

#

Switch to the workspace, then open Account, then Client approval. Turn on Hold posts for your client's OK. New posts you send from that workspace now wait for approval. Posts you sent before aren't touched.

New posts need approval is on by default. When you send a post, you can still switch approval off for that one post.

Add your client

#

Under Who can review, enter their email (a name is optional) and select Add reviewer. We email them their link, and you can copy it from the same card with Copy link to send it yourself. Each reviewer has one link that keeps working until you change it. You can add more than one person to a workspace.

What your client sees

#

A short list of what you've scheduled, each post with its caption and the platforms it's going to. They select Approve on a post, Approve all at the top, or Request changes and write what should be different. Their note reaches you straight away.

When the list changes, we email them once with everything new, never one email per post, and a gentle reminder if something's still waiting.

What happens at post time

#

Under If it's still unapproved when it's due to go out, you choose.

  • Hold it, and tell me: the post waits until your client answers, and you get a notification. This is the default.
  • Post it anyway: the post goes out on schedule even without an answer. A post they've asked changes on still waits.

A post sent with no time always waits. Changing this applies to posts you send from now on. Any held post can be released by hand: open it on the calendar and select Post without approval.

See where posts stand

#

Your calendar shows Waiting on client, Approved by their name, Changes requested with their note, or On hold for a post that's past its time and still unanswered. Select a post and open Approval history to see who answered and when.
