Batches
Turn on Batches in Deploy, set destinations and a release once, prepare a week of videos together, and start next week's batch from this one.
Turn on batches
#A batch is a set of videos you post around the same thing, like this week's clips. Batches are off until you turn them on, one workspace at a time.
- Open your profile menu and choose Workspaces.
- Under Batches, turn on Group posts into batches.
Only a workspace owner or admin can flip the switch. Once it's on, everyone in the workspace gets batches in Advanced, their own group in Library, and a band on the Calendar.
With the switch off, Advanced still posts several videos at once. You just won't get named batches to come back to.
Start a batch
#- Under Deploy, switch to Advanced. You land on Your batches.
- Drop your videos on the drop area, or choose start from your library. Deploy opens a new batch with one row per video.
- Give it a name at the top, where it says Untitled batch. Add videos brings in more clips later.
- Select the Defaults row. Turn on the destinations every video should go to, then pick a Release: Now, Next free slots or Draft.
Every video starts from those defaults. Change a video on its own and it keeps your change, even if you edit the defaults later. To undo that, open the destination under Defaults and select Put it back on the default.
Prepare each video
#Select a video's row to edit it. This video holds its caption, first comment and release: Now, Schedule or Keep as draft. Each destination has its own tab for that platform's settings, and says whether it Uses defaults, is Customized or Needs attention.
TikTok asks you to choose who can watch, and to switch comments, Duet and Stitch on yourself, for every video. So TikTok has no batch default for those. Set them on each video's TikTok tab.
To schedule several at once, tick their rows and select Spread across slots. Each one takes the next free posting slot. Post now and Keep as drafts work on ticked rows the same way.
Deploy the batch
#The bar at the bottom counts what's ready and what's waiting on you. Next issue jumps to the next video that needs something. When you're set, select the Deploy button. It names how many videos are ready and sends only those.
Anything that needs attention or is kept as a draft stays in the batch for later. If a destination fails, the bar offers a retry once the run finishes, and the post's card in Library says why it failed.
Start next week's batch from this one
#Your batches lists every batch with its progress. Continue picks up one you haven't finished.
- On the batch you want to repeat, select Start next from this.
- Enter a New batch name. The dialog shows what carries over: destinations, settings for each platform and the release.
- Select Create batch, then drop in the new videos.
A destination you've since removed from the workspace doesn't carry over.
