API limits
See request and daily post allowances for the API and MCP server, and how to recover when a limit is reached.
Plan allowances
#The table shows each plan's request and daily post allowances. The API and MCP come with Standard and our Studio plan. Reads and writes each have their own per-minute allowance, shared by REST and MCP, for each key or connected app.

Daily posts
#The daily allowance counts a post when the API or MCP starts publishing it or schedules it, including a draft first made in the app. It resets at midnight UTC. On Standard, every workspace in your account shares one allowance; on Studio, each workspace has its own. Saving drafts, rescheduling, canceling, retrying and publishing in the app do not spend it.
When the allowance is used, the API returns HTTP 429 with rate_limited and detail code daily_post_limit. A draft stays a draft if POST /posts/{id}/publish is refused. If POST /posts included publish_at, the create is rolled back, so it does not leave a new post behind.
Request limits
#Each key or connected app has separate read and write counters that reset each minute. The response headers X-RateLimit-Limit, X-RateLimit-Remaining and X-RateLimit-Reset show the allowance, remaining requests and seconds to reset for that request type.
An HTTP 429 response includes Retry-After in seconds. For daily_post_limit, it points to the next midnight UTC. Wait that long before trying again.
Imports at once
#A workspace can have 5 videos importing from links at the same time. Another POST /media/imports while 5 are still downloading returns HTTP 429 with rate_limited and detail code imports_in_flight, and Retry-After is 30 seconds. Once one has finished downloading (its status is no longer uploading), send it again. Uploads from a file don't count toward this.
Check your usage
#GET /me returns limits.requests_per_minute and limits.api_posts_per_day, including today's used count, scope and reset time. Use it to show the right allowance for the key's workspace and plan.
Connected accounts
#On Free and Standard, each workspace can connect a set number of accounts from each platform; the table shows how many. On Studio, a workspace can connect as many accounts from the same platform as you need. If you move to a plan with a smaller allowance, every account already connected stays connected.
