Post a video

How to post a video to every platform with Deploy: pick your accounts, upload, write one caption, check the settings and press Deploy.

Five steps, start to finish

#

Sign in and Deploy opens on the first step. If you're somewhere else in the app, Deploy in the top menu brings you back.

A post moves through five steps: Platforms, Media, Caption, Settings, Deploy. Continue takes you to the next one, and you can go back to any step you've already been through. Nothing goes out until you press Deploy on the last one.

Choose your destinations

#

Your connected accounts are listed under Sending to. Click one to include it or leave it out; the count beside the heading shows how many are in. To post somewhere you haven't connected yet, pick it under Add a destination.

If an account can't take this post, it says why on the account itself. When a platform has signed an account out, reconnect it from Destinations in your profile menu, or leave it out of this post. Connect an account walks through both.

Add your video

#

Choose Upload new to add a file, or From library to reuse a video you've uploaded before. Deploy checks the video against every destination you picked. If one of them can't take it, for example because it's too long for that platform, you'll see why right away. Trim or replace the video, or leave that destination out.

Continue opens up once the upload finishes. Deploy keeps preparing a copy for each platform in the background, so you can carry on while it works.

A cover is picked for you from the video. Click it to choose a different frame or add text, or use Add your own to upload an image. YouTube uses your cover as the video's thumbnail; YouTube thumbnails has the details.

Write your caption

#

Write one caption and every destination gets it. Under the caption you can see how it fits each platform, and you can customize it for one destination without changing what the rest get. YouTube also needs a title before you can continue, and Deploy suggests one from your caption.

Set each destination's details

#

The Settings step opens on Release, where you choose Now or Schedule. Then select each destination in the list to set its own options, like a YouTube video's visibility or who can view a TikTok post. Anything you still need to choose is marked, and Continue waits until it's done.

Review and press Deploy

#

The Deploy step is your final review: the video and cover, the caption, when it goes out, and how many captions and settings you customized. Terms a platform asks you to agree to, like TikTok's Music Usage Confirmation, sit right above the button.

When it looks right, press the button. It reads Deploy to 3 destinations, or Schedule for the time you picked.

After you press Deploy

#

Each destination gets its own row with a live status. Once a post is live, View post opens it on that platform. One destination failing never holds up the others, and a failed row says why, with Retry or Reconnect when that will fix it.

You can leave the page once it's on its way. Turn on Email me when it finishes on the Settings step and you'll get one summary with links to the live posts. Everything you've sent is also in your Library, and scheduled posts wait on your Calendar.
