Terms of Service
These are the terms for using deploy.social, operated by Deploy Social LLC, Bozeman, Montana, USA. They’re written to be read, not skimmed past. Questions: hello@deploy.social.
The deal, in one paragraph
deploy.social lets you upload short-form videos or photos, or write a text post, once and publish it to multiple platforms you’ve connected. You keep full ownership of your content; we get just enough permission to store it, convert it into each platform’s required format, and deliver it where you tell us to. You’re responsible for what you publish; we’re responsible for the pipeline working as described.
Your account
Keep your sign-in credentials to yourself and tell us if you think your account’s been compromised. You need to be at least 13 (and old enough to hold accounts on the platforms you connect). One person per account, please.
Your content
- It’s yours. Publishing through us doesn’t give us any ownership.
- You grant us the limited license we need to operate: storing your uploads, converting them to the formats each platform needs, generating thumbnails, and transmitting your posts to the platforms you choose. That license ends where the product does. We don’t use your content for anything else, including AI training.
- You’re responsible for having the rights to the videos, photos and text you post (footage, music, people in it) and for what they contain.
The platforms
When you connect YouTube, Bluesky, Meta, TikTok, X, or anything else, their terms apply to what happens on their side. We’re a delivery mechanism, not an affiliate of any of them. Platforms change their APIs, limits, and policies whenever they like; when that breaks or restricts a feature, we’ll be honest about it, but we can’t control it.
YouTube, specifically
deploy.social uses YouTube API Services to connect your channel and publish videos to it. By using deploy.social, you are agreeing to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. Google’s handling of your data is described in the Google Privacy Policy, and our privacy policy explains exactly what YouTube data we touch, how we use it, and how to delete it or cut off our access.
Don’t use this to be terrible
No spam, no scams, no illegal content, no content that violates the rules of the platform you’re publishing to, no attempts to break or overload the service, no connecting accounts you don’t have the right to use. We can suspend or terminate accounts that do these things, with notice when reasonable and immediately when not.
API and MCP
Standard and Studio include an API and an MCP server, so your own scripts, apps and AI assistants can upload videos and post through deploy.social for you.
- An API key is a password for your workspace. Keep it secret: not in a public code repository, a web page, or anywhere someone else can read it. If one leaks, revoke it from the API tab in your account and make a new one.
- A key, or an app you connect to our MCP server, acts as you in that workspace. You're responsible for what your scripts, apps and agents publish with it, the same as if you'd pressed Deploy yourself, and everything else in these terms applies to it.
- TikTok has its own rules for apps that post to it. If your app or agent publishes to TikTok through our API, it must show the person posting TikTok's privacy choices and their creator details (which TikTok account the video is going to) before it posts, as TikTok requires. We refuse a TikTok post that has no privacy choice, but showing those choices is your app's job. The full list is in TikTok's Content Sharing Guidelines.
- We may rate-limit, suspend or revoke keys and connected apps that abuse or overload the service or put other people's accounts at risk. If a workspace moves to the Free plan, its keys and connected apps stop working until it's back on a paid plan; we don't delete them.
Plans and billing
A post is one video, one set of photos, or one text post that you deploy, counted once however many destinations it goes to.
Three plans, priced in US dollars. Paid plans can be billed monthly or yearly:
- Free: $0 a month. Five posts a month, one workspace.
- Standard: $15 a month or $150 a year. Unlimited publishing, subject to platform limits and fair use, and one workspace.
- Studio: $39 a month or $390 a year. Everything in Standard, plus ten workspaces (further workspaces are $10 a month or $100 a year each), five members including you with admin or member roles and access to the workspaces you choose, client connection links that let a client connect their own accounts to one of your workspaces, client approval so a client can review scheduled posts, and priority email support.
Unlimited publishing on Standard and Studio means normal use across your own workspaces. If your volume is far outside normal use, we may get in touch to agree on a plan that fits.
Paid plans are subscriptions: you pay for the coming month or year in advance, and the subscription renews itself at that interval until you cancel it. You cancel from the Billing tab in your account, and the cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you’ve already paid for. You keep the plan until then, and we don’t charge you again. We don’t refund part of a period, except for yearly plans within 14 days of the charge or where the law says we have to. To ask for a yearly refund, email hello@deploy.social from your account address. You can switch from monthly to yearly now, with credit for unused monthly time. A switch from yearly to monthly takes effect at your next renewal. If we change a price, we’ll email you at least 30 days before the new price applies to you.
Invites. When someone signs up through your invite link and pays for a plan, you each get two months of that plan free, as credit toward future bills. Their credit applies to their second and third months (monthly plans) or comes off the first bill (yearly plans). Yours lands 30 days after their first payment, as long as their plan is still active. Credit has no cash value, can’t be transferred, and stays on your account until it’s used. An invite only counts once per new organization, and doesn’t count for your own accounts or anyone paying with your card. We may hold or cancel credit we believe came from abuse of the program.
The Free plan covers five posts a month, counted once each however many destinations you send them to, and one workspace. Going past that allowance takes a paid plan.
Payments are processed by Stripe. Your card details go to Stripe, not to us. We never see or store card numbers. Paying through Stripe means Stripe’s terms apply to the payment itself. We don’t add sales tax or VAT at checkout today, so you pay no more than the plan’s price.
What we promise (and don’t)
We work to keep the service fast, reliable, and honest about failures. A publish that fails tells you it failed. But we can’t promise uninterrupted service or that every platform API will behave, so the service is provided “as is.” To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you is capped at what you’ve paid us in the twelve months before the claim (which, on the Free plan, is zero: worth knowing).
Ending things
You can stop using deploy.social whenever you like. Delete your account any time from Profile in your account settings, and it’s gone immediately, no waiting period. To delete your account by email instead, write to hello@deploy.social and we’ll delete it, along with your media and connected-account credentials, within 30 days. We can suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. If we ever discontinue the service, we’ll give you reasonable notice and a window to export your content.
Legal housekeeping
These terms are governed by the laws of Montana, USA. If some part of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest still stands. If we make material changes, we’ll update the date above and notify you; continuing to use the service after that means you accept the changes.
